Welch-Dickey

The views were stunning. Beginning was completely fine, but once the big flat and reasonably steep stone plates started it got a bit dicy…. shoes were slipping and we should have been better prepared. The peaks were awesome. We had enough water and a great BLT. Ana was slow but steady, my Achilles started to hurt pretty bad on the way down (injured in Badminton game the week before), Knox and Siena’s shoes slipped too much. Otherwise all great. Will do an easier trail next time to build up stamina and get some better shoes.

Ana’s dream of doing Welch-Dickey has now finally come true. Trail was marked well, would recommend the counterclockwise route, The stones are easier climbed than descended.
