Game Time

Cold winter evenings when it is dark outside and nothing much to do, our living room turns into the WII gaming hall. The dress code is not exactly formal but we do have standard while enjoying ourselves. A picture of how Markus and Ivan today took on all other teams in dodge ball and won the Tournament.

Ivan in his new underpants, but with a tie. Dress code though really is not formal in our Casino.

Art Work in the Office at MIT

Today Ana is going to the doctor and left me the three youngest…. This was of course during a Higgs to Gamma Gamma meeting but that was not the worse. Blaki just pooped into his diapers so hard that it had been flowing out for a while. And Ana just indicated he might need some cleaning. Well, he ended up running around in a diaper, his jacket and his shoes 🙂

Meanwhile though Gisele and Markus became productive, they painted two wonderful pictures which I attach below.

Shoveling in the Blizzard

February 1 and 2 we had a hole lot of snow coming down. I had just returned from CERN and was glad I could help Ana take care of some of the snow of this pretty rough season. While I had been away Ana took care of good 2 feet of snow and it made me feel bad that I could not help her while at CERN.

So it was a great opportunity to work on my guilty feelings, and my shoveling went much easier.

The Holy Spirit

This Sunday Ana brought Ivan to Sunday school which just started again after the break. Ivan was not very motivated coming back from Sunday school. He does not want to go back to Sunday school, and does not want to talk about it. Finally Ana asks: “So what have you been talking about?” Ivan: “The Holy Spirit.” Ana: “Hmm, so what is that?” Ivan very tersely: “That’s some stuff which takes care of us, you know.”

Tempurpedumania

Our son Blake is pampered because we bought a new bed with a brand new Bobopedic (cheap version of the famous Tempurpedic) mattress. After more than 10 years of being married, Ana and I finally decided to buy a decent mattress.

We went for the memory foam version, probably heavily influenced by the ‘never falling wine glass’ advertisement in combination with the aggressive Bob’s furniture advertisement. Blake noticed that our bed is real comfortable and once we took him in for a few times he did not go to sleep in his own bed any more but would only be quiet on ‘his’ Tempurpedic. Even if we move him to his bed he will soon wake up and miss his tempurpedic comfort and wakeup the house to make us notice.
