The work towards delivery is now posted in The PausHaus blog, and I am getting mentally ready for number six to appear, and Ana is soooo ready. The secret codename is Siena for now but that might change as we have not yet seen the beaut.
Nurse: “Why don’t you give it a little push with the next contraction and I can see whether the head moves.” This sounds like we are about ready to go. Doctor is called after two short good-job fake pushes.
Room is prepped, Papi got some ginger ale, doctor is there. Ana is all setup, happy and ready to go. Two pushes and our little girl is out. Amazing how quick it went compared to Knox where it took over an hour. Here we are and the baby is out at 2:39am. The little mouse is just 3.515 kg (7 lb 12 oz). The size will be measured when the little sweety will be cleaned up for the first time.
Siena Harley is decided, but we are still struggling with the second middle name. We will use Anneliese my mother’s name as her second middle name. The most tricky part is done now.
An hour after Siena came out she is measured and surprise: she has the same length as Ivan, Markus, Gisele and Blake: 54 cm (21 in). We drive her over to the room where Ana will stay for about 48 hours. Ana has done great, very easy birth, apart from the long induction.
