Soooo…. I said no hockey for our kids, Ana said, let them try. And of course Ivan is now trying. There are two reasons why I do not like hockey:
1) it quickly becomes a pretty brutal sport and you need a lot of padding to put on your body to play, 2) ice-time is precious with so few rinks around and you often enough start a Saturday morning at 7am on the ice somewhere in the boonies. So I told Ana I would not get up early on the weekend. In the photo (nototrious sepia style) I am tying Ivan’s shoes shortly before 7am on his first day of morning hockey. How did Ana get me to go? I have no clue.
