The tomatos are still going, and my most reliable tomato harvest buddy was there to point out the ripe ones.
The green one in the bowl had mysteriously fallen off.

Opening a little more sky by some tree trimming
It was a beautiful Sunday. The masdive rainfall after the heatwave had cooled the atea down. At 11am i decided to finally do the last serious tree work in the backyard. The maddive oak was starting to encroach our hard fought spot in the sun in tbe back. Three bigger branches had to go.
I spent from 3pm to 6:30pm after careful prep in the tree. Ladder basr ascent, otherwise free climb with securing ropes around the tree. Some parts I had to claw myself up the tree and wished I had optrd for the long pants. Who in his rigjt mind would climb a tree in short pants and sleeves. But the harvest was good some parts of my stacked wall needs readjustments and some of our hedges neef time to regrow. Overall a major success, the tomatos survived unscathed.
Tomato watch
As this incredibly wet summer progresses, so are our first tomato plants. I think I watered them two or three times since I planted them but their fruit look good, there could be more but the polination with all the wetness did not work so well I guess.
I certainly hope we manage to harvest before the animals do. Siena was suggesting that due to the highbeds only kangoroos would be trouble.
A good omen is that so far there is no blight. I am carefully cutting leaves that are sus’ and the ones close to the ground.
